darthdnw
I recently went out and got "Shivering isles" for a good price 30 dollers, on pc of course. It was to add 30 hours of game play, and it added i would say 10 hours. It was worth ti although, because It had a very interesting plot and charicters, VERY interested charicters, to say the least, haha, Anyways, it's a good buy for all you oblivion fans like me out there looking for something new to do that professinaly made and is good fun! I recommend going to buy it if u have the spare money. Feed back welcome on this post, I would like to hear other opinions as well. ;)
Malchik
This topic is already covered elsewhere on the forum but I will answer as there are a couple of points to be made in response. When they say 30 hours they probably include exploring all the isles including dungeons and doing all miscellaneous quests. Museum of Oddities for instance needs 12 items and I'd be very surprised if you found all 12 in 10 hours (several are randomly generated). Did you free all the souls on Suicide Hill? Did you find the trail to the stash that starts on the rooftops of... I won't say where. Did you complete the quest for the woman in Highcross who needs one of everything and several beasts besides? The main quest however suffers from the same fault as all Bethesda's Ob related questlines - shortness. But yes, it is quite good fun. BTW have you downloaded the patch. It is very important. See the UESP website for details if you haven't.
darthdnw
Ya, I decided to go do all those little quests...Is it just me, or did anyone else feel, un-rewarded at the end?I mean, I don't really know what tha staff u get even does, controlling the weather is a little entertaining, and the two slaves and entertainment are nice, I wanted to get some like really nice armor, I got the golden saint armor and the madness armor (played it on a warrior, so no amber armor was purchased) and The armor was estimatly 49-50. I was hoping to get some of the knights of order armor lol. But yea, All in all it was a fun buy. Imma go do all those little missions now. Then later downloading Knights Of The nine off thier site to try that one, I never really got around to it cause I was working on a few mods around then. anyone that can tell me what the patch for TES4 Shivering isles is for. crazydave
anyone that can tell me what the patch for TES4 Shivering isles is for. A very serios bug called the Form ID bug. you dont necessarily need the official patch, but you do need something to fix it.
Sypron
Get that patch as soon as you can. Its very small, but without it your game is "condemned" you may only have a few hours of game play left without it. And just because I KNOW that Vagrant will come around bethesda bashing again, i'll tell you this. The Bethesda Official mods are top quality and worth their price. Except the orrery and spell tomes, they suck. I have not seen mods with that same level of detailed art as the official ones, plus you know that they are safe and lore correct. The staff is a lot of fun. Target a group of people and they all freeze in time for a few seconds. Funny thing in the middle of a large battle or brawl. Darthdeath
Exactly! Vagrant0
And just because I KNOW that Vagrant will come around bethesda bashing againIt's not all bad, Bethsoft has done some things right, I'm just opposed to them selling content that certainly looks like it was part of release, but held back so that they can make more money... Mehrunes razor, horse armor, and orrery. Then going further and releasing house mods (primarily for the 360 crowd). There is so many more meaningful things they could have done, that would sell better. It just seems like a waste of what they have available. As for SI, despite the number of things it breaks, it's a fairly good expansion, almost on par with bloodmoon.

Povuholo
Lore correctMarxist is convinced that some are not. But he never really gave examples. I don't think the official mods are worth it. A bunch of pretty graphics and cheats special extra's like a cure for vampirism for 'free'. And the way the mods are presented to you... Some uncle you never heard of died and gives you a magical tower that wasn't there yesterday? You saw a note at the stables at a town you might have never been to before saying that horse armor is now sold? They could've made fantastic plugins but instead focused on house mods for the 360's, and new pretty graphics and special effects instead of gameplay improvements.
