Still, receiving a note about how the tower was built and why it is yours is better than thing just appearing with no backstory. And bethesda could have placed all those extra mods in the initiall release, but then it would take longer to make.

I'll agree with you on that, but some of the things they did really seem to be more "spent 20 hours trying to get something to work as I think it should, spent another 1 hour undoing it all or stripping it down so that there aren't any problems. Look at the scripts associated with heart of order, they still have their notations (A good thing to see actually), the heart was supposed to impart greater ability or longer duration the more were consumed. Using a simple faction or global system could have accomplished this, but instead of taking a step back and thinking about how they could do it, they blundered in, and blundered out. Some of the unfinished quests show evidence of something similar. Yes it would have taken them longer, but in some cases it would be equal of a lunch break spent working. Then again, given how few things where fixed in beta, they probably should have rushed things a bit more to make the testing period longer.

I would actually like to see another expansion, one that just ads the stuff they never got around to finishing. It wouldn't even have to have new content. Just finishing oblivion and of course, adding sutch.

SI was deffinatly a little rushed. There are a bunch of floating objects all over the place, that may have only taken less then a second to place properly. That along with the many bugs just made it seem very beta-ish. as far as the DLCs go It seemed like Bethsoft had planed some of the things before releasing Oblivion. For instance the fact that Dunbarrow Cove is there, A very empty Orrey is there, and probly a few other things that I havent noticed. If I didnt know any better I'd say Bethsoft dosen't really care about us, as long as theymake a few bucks.

It has to be accepted that ANY company has to maintain an excess of income over expenditure. Otherwise the company goes bust and no more games. Or they get absorbed by another company and all sense of originality is likely to disappear.

What I am less sure about is whether the market has a top level cost for games in the US. That is what will drive the market. I don't believe that the addition of 5 euros onto the sale price would make a major difference to total sales in Europe but I think an extra $8 might be very different in the US.

The problem was more likely that too much resource was allocated to graphics and the rest suffered in consequence. But as long as they learn from the mistake and correct it next time I can excuse it once. It's not as if Oblivion was a bad game. The criticisms are mainly that it did not seem a total advance on the previous issues in the tes series.
