Before I installed NMM for Fallout 4, the game worked flawlessly. I had never crashed once, few minor bugs, and it was great. Today I wanted to start installing mods to improve my experience in Fallout 4, I installed NMM, a few mods and now I crash 3 seconds after pressing play on the launcher. I have verified game cache, disabled mods, but this problem still persists. Is there a known fix for this? I have an Nvidia graphics card. All help will be appreciated.

Try removing mods, not just disabling them.

Worst case scenario, uninstall/reinstall NMM.

Problem still persists, thanks for the reply

That's really strange... what mods did you end up installing?

And maybe just back up your saves and reinstall Fallout 4?

I kinda uninstalled them as you suggested, but all of them were "Download with manager" Nothing too serious, ones primarily in the Top Rated

Just because there was a NMM download link doesn't mean the mods aren't providing conflicts. Try a clean slate, then reinstall the mods one by one.

If you could get me a list of the mods I might be able to help you more.

Will do appreciate it

Mods:

Full Dialogue Interface (New Dialog English and CN-DE-ES-FR-IT-PL-PTBR translations)

Settlement Supplies Expanded 2.5 - Safe SSEx

Enhanced Blood Textures

Improved Map with Visible Roads

Darker Nights

Vivid Fallout - Landscapes - Textures in HD - ORIGINAL SIZE - LOWER RESOLUTION

Craftable Ammo

Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks

WET - Water Enhancement Textures

Higher Settlement Budget

no dotdotdot

Better Item Sorting

Hmm, these are all mods that I use so I'm not sure what the issue would be.

Try a fresh install.

One thing that might have f*d it up is how it suggested I installed my mods to the SSD drive where F04 is and I chose to put it in my E Drive. Also stupidly my SSD is my default drive where it suggested I put it. Can that be the reason? Put the mods in wrong folder?

I would install to where it suggests.

Probably your best bet. Good luck!

I have done everything to give it a clean slate, it does not work. I used this guide and done other stuff to clean it off and the problem still persists. I am considering going to the NMM Beta Feedback thread to adress my problem there. NMM did something to my Fallout 4 to screw it up, and I think I might find answers there. If you can give any advice, it would be nice.

Ok my Fallout $ just did the same :( i installed a pin up poster mod via NMM and it went into my NMM the same as it did for all my other mods before it. The game now crashes everytime i load FO4 after selecting PLAY. so i uninstalled the pinup poster MOD and deleted it. so the game is kind of back to how it was modded when it worked. Nothing!! no matter what i do my game will not run. so i disabled evry MOD in NMM, esps and all of them so that only my FO4 esm is running, so back to default game. and STILL it wont run :(

Is it a fault with NMM?? do i have to reinstall NMM or FO4 or both!!?? i have just reinstalled FO4 via steam, to see if it runs a fresh version with all mods off..

Have the same issue... only way to play fallout 4 again i found was to change ini files back to how they originally were and play vanilla. At the moment reinstalling fallout 4 and will try moding again.

Same here, I had to change the 2 ini files back to get it to work again, So no mods for me :-(
