Percephere
All smiles in here, huh? Trust me, how-to's will be made in time and the guy/girl who makes them will be showered in glory while the other seasoned authors will think "idgaf lol" No need to get hostile, guys, its a discussion. demonz
Lead by example... Please do share what you know! I for one would be very interested in how you "figured it out" and what tools were used. Because, as you stated the others are being very vague... and sticking their noses in the air!
DDProductions83
you should review your manners and how to approach others. even on the internet. and yes, i were frustrated on how ignorant people are, even if you ask them in private, so what ?i wouldn't mind sharing the things i know. even if it's basic modding. i'm new to it myself. but the experience i made is that mod veterans who mod since Atari 2600 as example don't give two f*#@s if you know how or not.i were trying to get it done (basic standalone mod w/o any crafting etc) for a week. with tons of PM's to mod authors who already did it, who already released advanced mods like craftable, can be found, can be obtained by doing quests etc.and i just asked for the Basic's.No replies. and those few who said "will tell you very soon" never did either. so yeah, do you see the point ? i guess not.i broke my head and flipped over non working modding, and didnt got any help. and at the end i finally found out myself. and while i were still modding, but figured out how to, and still struggled with it. you come here, with 3k posts, mod veteran, and piss around.well good job. your behavior doesnt make anything better on the situation.because before i finished the mod, i were thinking of putting it here "how i did it" but people like you just make me think "f*** it" people who will read this post see my Name, can click on it, and ask for it. and i will try to explain as good as i can, and share the "basics" i learned myself.but this forum here, is almost as worse as 4chan.people who read the post and just say "copy as new record" etc.so yeah, again : thanks for "nothing" and have a nice day. ps: this was my last post in this forum anyway. because i dont give two f*#@s anymore either.Check yerself b4 u wreck yerself bro :P While I am 100% a asshole, I am a asshole who shares what I know a lot and have helped far more people than you clearly have any clue about. I do not give two shits about anyone's feeling hardly ever, I just found that you being exactly like that which you hated to be hilarious. Had I the knowledge you seeked I would have answered your post, but like I said, I don't like to do things the super hard way IE b4 a creation engine comes out and makes it 100 times easier. demonz
I'm trying to change a mesh/model in the game...The InstaMash box in-particularMy work flow is like so... (which is probally ass-backwards and completely wrong???)I'm Exporting ingame mesh and texture with the B.E.A>>>Then, Importing the mesh into Nifskope 2.0 (Pre Alpha 4)... then exporting .Nif as .Obj >>> closing Nifskope 2.0 (Pre Alpha 4)...Opening .Obj mesh in Blender... "Resizing and Manipulating" my mesh... Then saving and exporting as .Obj again with Blender>>>Then opening the old (Nifskope 1.3) so I can save the .Obj as a .Nif>>> Exit and close old (Nifskope 1.3)Finally reopening the changed .Nif with the new Nifskope 2.0 (Pre Alpha 4) ... I then open another instance of Nifskope 2.0 (Pre Alpha 4) with the original "Instamash" mesh so I can copy and past the blocks over to the changed .Nif... but this fails to work because the Gamebryo File Foramt, Version 20.2.0.7 is different from the changed .Nif Version 20.0.0.5...And I know it's possible to get old or changed meshes into the game because "invalidfate" already did it with his DarthVador Mod!?! So how are they getting the new Meshes into the correct .Nif structure??? Edited December 5, 2015 by demonz
Cupressi
What an amazing hypocrite. Too bad it's in the mod authors forum so it can't be shared with a wider audience.

dominic2005
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4033/? Doesn't take very long to search... But I do agree with the hypocritical irony of the OP's b&@*$ then decision to not reveal the process when they did find out.

demonz
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/277/? Some at least are sharing, so have faith :smile:Yes, those are fairly simple mods... what I want to know is how > invalidfate < managed to import a new mesh and convert a skyrim .nif into FO4!??! See his Mod here>>> http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4660/? He is being very vague with the process and steps taken... Quoting invalidfate: "it will soon become widespread knowledge..." I use 010 editor to transfer the nif. for nif itself, Roughly 50% routine can be done in scripting but the rest nif mismatch need manually correct.... since FO4 nif format is already disclosed by Nifskope team, it just matter of time someone will do the transferring, and Nifskope also eventually support mesh copy&paste between FO3/4 and TES. Needless to say I tryed hex editing the .nif file header... It just corrupts it and it refuses to open in nifskope.... so theres more to it then just hex editing!http://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1151/318959-1449364749.jpg
