Game Freezes.

About 5 mins into the game the whole game will freeze and lock my mouse and keyboard. But i'm able to go to windows and end oblivion from there.

Did you try reinstalling the game yet?

 

-You can backup your save games first from My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves

-Use the add remove programs and then afterwards delete the C:\bethesda softworks\Oblivion Directory and see if that fixes it.

-Also do you run any mods?
