Facial limitations with select NPC's

So I've been working tirelessly to find the culprit settings for NPC's like Piper and her fixed facial settings that make any importation of other faces basically look like Sloth.

Original <-> Piper

Whereas someone like Cait seems to have a much easier time handling the surgery. (Minus eyebrows, makeup and hair.)

Is anyone else on the forefront of this subject? Anyone found anything that might be causing these issues? I'm suspecting .hkx files for the moment because from what FO4Edit has, there doesn't seem to be anything that causes this, from the tests I've run.

Hope to butt heads with someone and try to come to a conclusion, so I can get my Vault-Girl for companions out. :D

What is different between the two actors?

Could be a LOD face, lulz, idk though, very Obvlion looking, so awesome, that's what you get for changing faces cause they weren't good enough for yah, jk, if you are going to do that it might be better in some cases to just replace it with Bethesda created actors, the face an texture data, cause I seen it go messed up like other games, the seem made worse by the game changing texture data.

Another thought is it's a little early to be doing this, what are you doing copying it over from another game or something, I wouldn't think a facegen save game ripper would be out for FO4 yet, but eh I haven't looked.

Small update. I replaced Piper with Cait and everything works except she doesn't speak her lines anymore. Everything else in piper's form is back to the original, which means there's a couple of settings in the form that FO4Edit hasn't discovered yet.

did you copy all the data an read it directly from the savegame ripper app, you can also count the number of hex like data for the textures part, an measure it out with zero's in a system type font, so it's equal, an paste that in LOL, well an then draw directly on the textures, though better to set up custom textures for that, race needs to match whatever you pull out of the save game else it won't add up right, as well.

yah an the same face shape data can be paired with the race for it, an a copy of a Bethesda created actor of the same race, but just the texture part, so the neck seem an texture part looks best, they just do it better than we can with the game's CC or even the GECK, very accurate facegen texture data, at least it used to be, too early for me to look at as it is.

Welp. Fixed that, too. She now speaks her lines and animates correctly. Still the issue of not being able to pick the eyebrows, but everything else is fine.
