Mods are not working

Hi there, I'm new here.

Bought W3 and the DLC on GOG, and I can't seem to get mods to work. I created a folder in my W3 The Wild Hunt directory, and put the extracted mods into that, like they told me to, but nothing seems to be happening. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

First off mods will not function in a pre V-1.08 version of the game. So IF your game is patched to current V-1.11 and IF the mods were installed properly they should function. It might help if you listed exactly you are trying to install. Manual or NMM? If they utilize scripts then an install and use of Script Merger is necessary. Did you create a Mod Settings file in your save game folder (that enables you to create a load order for your mods)?

Thanks for the reply.

Well, I bought the game 48 hours ago, and all the patches seem to be in order, but if I'm missing something, then I would appreciate a heads-up. I didn't actually think of playing with mods, because the game seems fair enough. I installed the following:

All according to the recipe. Do you see anything that might be wrong with this picture?

Looking over what you have installed: Unlimited Durability and Unrestricted crafting need to be merged. I am familiar with all but WVwFS which i assume is a texture re-placer?

After installing your mods when you first attempted to start the game, did a red CDRed mini window come up and do a compiling scan?

Script Merger: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/484/?

The mod settings file is a txt file placed in your W3 (without a txt extension to the mod settings file name ) documents folder (where your save games are stored). The lower the priority number the higher it's priority when loading as shown, using my own as an example..you have to create it ...the game doesn't.

{[modBaseScripts]
Enabled=1
Priority=9999

[modAltNPCGear]
Enabled=1
Priority=105

[modRelicWeaponsRedone3slots]
Enabled=1
Priority=104

[modCiriTrissYenEyes]
Enabled=1
Priority=103

[modTW2CombatMovement]
Enabled=1
Priority=102

[modPotions]
Enabled=1
Priority=101

[modElysGiddyUp]
Enabled=1
Priority=100

[modAutoLoot]
Enabled=1
Priority=99

[modMiniMapzoom]
Enabled=1
Priority=98

[modFOVSlider]
Enabled=1
Priority=97

[modNoItemLevels]
Enabled=1
Priority=96}

I tend to agree that W3..even vanilla W3 is a lot of fun..but lets see if we can get the mods to work also. Nothing like playing a personalized version :thumbsup:

Thank you again! :smile: Yes, I did get the red CDRed mini window, and it did do a scan. Hence I thought everything was ok. I'm a but dumb when it comes to these things, but I'll try to create the text file, and see if it works.

The essential entry is the first one:[modBaseScripts]

Enabled=1

Priority=9999

Then followed by your mods and a priority number

I want to thank you. You showed me how it worked, and I learned a bit in the process. Seriously. I'm impressed. Cheers to you.
