Difficulty reading books, scrolls in Oblivion

Hi!

 

I've been playing Oblivion for a few weeks now and am loving it. I've even become quite successful in getting people's mods to work (visual mainly) to improve my playing enjoyment.

I have hit rock bottom on one aspect though. I didn't like the bright interface of vanilla much like many other people and have been utilising the various Dark Ui mods out there. I think it makes playing much easier for my poor little eyes which aren't very good withstanding too much brightness flashing on the screen every so often.

 

My problem is that even though most of the game is improved by the Dark Ui, I find the books and scrolls in the game difficult to read as they are still very bright and am used to a darker contrast of the text and background with the Dark UI modding effects. Please please please can someone help me out with this problem, it's really getting me down as I need to be able to read the books to continue with the game plus I am hungry to read them all to learn more about the wonderful world of Oblivion.

 

I can't find any mods that darken the books/scrolls enough for me to be able to read them easily. Do any exist, and if so can someone direct me as to where I can find them? Alternatively, if anyone can give me some help using nifscope then i might be able to figure something out for myself.
