Wh1skey6
When I am leaving the Vault for the first time, my game is crashing on the lift. I'm hoping you fine folks could help me. I believe my integrated graphics card is not responding, hence the crash. So... Is there a mod that can help me out?If not, could one of you upload a generic game save in which you exit the lift and enter the wasteland? I can use the GSE to make the changes to my own game save.I got game save but using the GSE has been proven to be difficult when it comes to actually changing a location. Any tips on that? It crashes right after the lift when its trying to load the wasteland.
KimberJ
save game before entering the elevator, exit to menu, try to exit. launch game an try to load save game, use manual saves only or as often as you can. Just working the issue to see what happens or not, we'll get you a save if you want, just attach one here or file share it or email it to [email protected] Onboard graphic are no joke, serious stuff, so don't think of it as a bad thing, I got a hell of a gaming rig an I'd love to build one of those, can't wait in fact. Wh1skey6
Awesome KimberJ, I appreciate any help I get. Here is what I've done: 1) Save prior to entering lift, no changes to character, rode lift, saving all the way. It gets to the loading screen for the Wasteland and crashes2) Restarted and loaded the save from above, loads, flashes the screen and crashes to desktop3) Restarted and chose "new". During sequence, hit "Esc" and loaded the save. Flashes the screen and crashes to desktop4) Tried variations of configs including windowed & borderless and mix of above steps Every once in awhile, I will get a "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" message...otherwise known as the TDR error. I followed some troubleshooting steps including adding a delay before the TDR kicks in. All it does is cause it to hang. I found a save file for immediately after the lift ends/screen loads (character called Ava). I loaded her and it actually did get to the surface and I moved around for a few seconds. I closed her down and attempted to reload her. It immediately crashes to desktop. Running a Lenovo Yoga 3, i5 5200u and HD 5500. 256 SSD/8GB. The vault ran fine so I'm curious why this particular load just crashes.
KimberJ
Update graphics drivers. There are cases of intermittent issues that only happen once so often or 1 in 3 won't have a problem. Also anything wild or crazy you could do works to as experiement, for example loading that save an ~player.kill would kill the player I think an then auto load back into the game as a bypass for whatever caused it. Using console commands cause corrupted saves, partial in this case, producing various results an such should be avoided for the long game. Physics come into play as well so if you could get a mini nuke to explode an kill the player a physics simulation would run, an was helpful in the past, you besides being crazy talk, but worked. A library of programs as foundation software is required to game on PC listed below Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 on 64 bit systems both the x86 32 bit/byte an x64 64 bit/byte sourced from Steam Games, .Net Framework 4.5.2 or anything you find on it at microsoft downloads, along with any Direct X upgrades or version available though typically i look for the end user run time, but anything they got to match the computer I got, so some reading there, an it's all a big hard to find, Java an flash player as well. Administer rights as well. There were also many problems with security built into windows 7, so advanced computer users disabled them entirely with the impending doom of owning a windows install disc should the non- admin level of terminal operator makes a mistak, windows repair is actually a reinstall now, thankfully, because clean installs are good for a PC, currently we can hit the vats key at any time though I don't remember how holding the button or q I think will put it into vats without a target, but you might have to find out how thus putting the game in slow motion mode which might make it launch. Then as the diagnostic process with an issue the first step is to duplicate it once or try a few times, as noted by the part of the game working 1 an not 2, a intermittent event because it doesn't happen every tim, starting a new game a dupicating it, without using console comands an only using manual saves thus avoiding a possible partial coruption of the save games prior to the elevator. As well as bonkers crazy experimental actions in this case setting the game to ultra settings an attempting it. You sending me a save either by attachment or email @ [email protected] of your save game would be the way to make the exchange for a clean save outside the vault, an let me know so I can be quick with the return of the original save you have but outside the vaults
Wh1skey6
I sent you an email. I really appreciate it. I am going to spend some time with updates. I might reinstall Visual Studios to see if I am having any conflicts with C++/.NET framework. I'll post tonight with how it goes.
KimberJ
It is possible to get the set of them, just remember for 64 bit systems we need both 32/64 bit, I'll start on the email now. I hate you all die die die, best of luck, † God Bless †
KimberJ
sent it in email, but I also require a save before the elevator started going up, if you don't mind
