ahighone
I tried 'setownership 14' and it gave me an error. "Invalid owner '14' for parameter Owner(optional)" I've also performed the commands to complete the quest via console. The island has the 'Mercer Safehouse' icon (the railroad logo) as a travel point. The only thing driving me nuts now is the ownership of the Workshop and being able to build on the island. What I would love to be able to do is to just reset the Mercer Safehouse quest from the beginning and just do the whole thing again... but I can't figure out how to successfully do that with the sqs quest stage command and then resetting the stages of the quest. Thanks for the help... I really appreciate the suggestion.

I really appreciate the suggestion.I am pretty sure the command to reset is resetquest <questID>to set to a specific stage setstage <questID> <stage#>to complete completequest <questID>showquesttargets or sqt gives you the questID for active quests it doesn't say whats what but you can complete them to see what they are then reload.showqueststages or sqs <questID> shows the stage numbers and it says done for steps completeuse page up and page down to go up and down the lists if you can use sqt to find the questID or know the questID the rest should be easy. I found all of these commands on wiki http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_4_console_commands
ahighone
yep i tried all that. the id for the quest is b26c2 i googled the hell out of everything i could think of... did what you are describing like I posted before and nothing seemed to work. i don't like the idea that you could be exploring and flip a switch, literally, and then get cheated out of a whole island for a settlement. pretty bad oversight and a game-breaking bug for me. completely ruined my experience. robhartman9
did you try the caqs command? I didn't include it because the wiki said it could bug out and crash the game. it is supposed to complete all quest stages and give you all of the quest items ect for that quest. I am not sure but ownership may be toggled by completing the quest so it may be required to undo any other changes you made to get the commands to work Edited January 3, 2016 by robhartman9
robhartman9
once you own the island getting a supply route established is a whole other problem. I think I drowned a few settlers commanding them to provision the island
qnvtwesoegv
Dammit, I still can't build on Spectacle Island because of this glitch. I haven't found anything that fixes it.
SleepyEyedJones
Heres the legit fix... assigning the workshop to yourself does nothing for you and other solutions either did not work or were too complicated. 1. walk up to that 2nd un-openable box containing the circuit breaker and open the console. 2. click on the door to the breaker (in my case (0014f722)[EP] was the door and (002407ae)[EP] was the circuit breaker switch) 3. with the door selected type into console: setOpenState 2 the door will open for you and suddenly the switch becomes accessible, allowing you to simply hit that 2nd switch and complete the task properly. seannewrock
There is no door to click on, it is a static decoration.

This worked for me :D. I had to click around a little bit to find the door in the console. So, I ran to the boat, hit the circuit breaker to start the generator, ran back to the shack, used the console command, the door to the 2nd circuit breaker opened, and i was able to turn it on, sending the mirelurks fleeing. qnvtwesoegv
Didn't work, altho that wasn't my problem. That console door is open and I can use the switch - it'll say it isn't functional. It's the switch on the boat. I can't interact with it. I'm just stuck.
