Thaneize
Actually the creation engine is the new engine. The one skyrim used was a hybrid betwen the gamebyro and the creation engine or to be more accurate a beta stage of the creation engine. Fallout 4 is the first game which uses the final (stable) version of it. While being extremely moddable, the engine is terribly omptimized and bethesda doesnt really do a good job at helping with that. Uncropped and uncompressed 2k textures that look like 768k-1k tops, a useless v-sync that eats fps like a ADHD kid eats retaline and the super wierd way TAA looks dont help it either but hey, thats what moddes are for, with a few texture mods, disabled v-sync and a +350€ GC all of that is not a problem. I suppose they do some optimzation work since they got bashed fot it in skyrim and fallout 4 - just imagine they used the source 2 engine, the cry engine or the unreal engine, it wouldnt be the same and modding would be a nightmare Edited January 5, 2016 by Thaneize
