Aliks
Ok. I want to change two things about oblivion that I can't find mods that do exactly what I want. I don't want things to scale to my level crazily. Bandits should be bandits. They shouldn't be walking around with full glass armor and world-class sword skills just because I've been playing longer. If I sneak into an ancient ruin, I expect more than rusty gloves and a few scrolls. I think this OOO mod does this, along with a million other things, but I'm not sure. I also don't want HP bloat. If I sneak up on someone and jam a knife in their neck, they should die. I don't care if they've been killing goblins for years, or have been summoning imps all day. I think this could be accomplished by having health = endurance. Or health = endurance * 1.5, maybe. Something that doesn't take level into consideration. But I don't want to just one hit everything, either. I think one or two good hits on an unarmored foe should down them, maybe a few more on someone in full plate. The whole "running backwards and shooting people for 5 minutes" was kind of lame. So yeah, if I get the jump on someone, I expect to have a big edge, and probably win. If I'm not paying attention and someone shoots me in the back with an arrow, I expect to be hurting. Probably dead if I'm not wearing armor. Not sure what mods will accomplish this. Been searching through the list for days, broke a few save games trying different things... Any advice would be welcome.
Povuholo
There are several mods that change the level scaling... The two most popular ones are Francesco's and Oscuro's. You can only use both at the same time if you use FCOM.
Hsandman_1
@Aliks. Good points all, OOO does a lot of things that make it better , but to get results that seem similar to what you want , you need few other mods. Here is what i use :--------------------------- Deadly Reflex - Gives you more combat moves that impruves your fighting. Gives critical hit chance, decapitation, shieldbash etc. Stealth overhaul - Tweeks backstab mutliplier. etc Adrenaline fuled combat - Makes combat more hectic and fun :P M.O.E. - adds lots of small modules such as "Fatigue loss from runing.esp" Unconscious For 5min - If you/they manage KD, then its more than 3 seconds. Farther NPC Attack- Now they will atack you from farther away. Immersive Health Indication- Makes combat more immersive. Thiefs Arsenal - Knock out npc's with 1 hit. then drag them up to high places and drop them off with = Realistic Force - Drag around Creatures. RenGuardOverhaul - This is a must have for all the sneaker/assasin types :D ONHIT SHADER REPLACEMENT - Changes the visual you get when hit. ------------------------- This of course is not perfect list , but makes the game more like what you/me want. Cheers. hsandman

SickleYield
Careful with the shader replacements if you're using Shivering Isles/1.2.
Aliks
I'm confused. Does OOO remove level scaling or not? 'Cause I was playing happily along, more or less, and then I found some quest where this dude wanted me to clear some goblins out. Being like level 20, I thought, "Goblins! This'll be cake!" No. They killed my dremora and clanfear I summoned and just shrugged off my destruction:75 lightning spells. What the hell. Goblins aren't supposed to be that buff! Still think things have too much HP. Especially me. Took an arrow to the face, health bar didn't hardly move.
Povuholo
I'm confused. Does OOO remove level scaling or not?Yes, mostly. They are still a bit leveled I think. You'll never become a god.
DeusXMachina
There are also some tribes of goblins which are upgraded by OOO. Like the ones in Goblin Jim's Cave or in the mine near Skingrad of which you read on the notices hanging on the walls.
