mileafly
Is there any pictures on before and after shots of Insanitys Improved Armory ? Is it retextures of armors or do it add new armor? And if retexture, does it try to have similair style just with more details?

Aurasoma
Think I have a few that haven't been listed. Their not so well knows which might be why they've been missed. themythofanst has done work on creatures both SI and Vanilla Oblivion. Also some retex of armor and weapons. Koldorn did some good work with cave, sewer, lava textures. amnes did a lot of work on HD statues, tree bark, Kavatch, Cathedral's, Cloud Ruler Temple and the Arena. Imperial City Reloaded V2 takes the imperial city itself and add these great little details to the stone work. Really its like they took the details from the Arc de Triomph or Notre Dame Cathedral as inspiration and used the capital stone work as their canvas. Honest I prefer the Better Imperial City Textures for my own game but really there are about four or five other ones to try. Parallax Cities Giga-Pack which takes the vanilla textures and give them more depth with out the fps rate drop. Good for your PC if you have issues from all thos eHD Textures. Enhanced Magic Effects for when you get sick of the vanilla game magic effects I like it more when you pair it up with Morrowind Style Enchantment Shaders. And last Unique Signs to change up those old tired ones. Some one once told me that the best house mod you'll ever find is the one you make. Its the same with textures, Ask every where for something new and different. And don't forget to save the ones that you like for later re-installs. beldaran1224
Insanity's stuff isn't for everyone. She really went for a more textured feel - higher resolution, but also more textured. If that's not your thing, than that's cool. :) The best part about modding for Oblivion is that there are so many excellent mods that you have a choice! Aurosoma has some great suggestions, I use something from each of those modders. Lubronbrons has mentioned some good mods, but except for the first three, they are not what I would call aesthetic mods. They are not about changing the appearance of the game. They add immersion, houses, NPCs and quests. A general piece of advice: try running around in Oblivion with your basic texture packs - the ones that change a whole bunch of stuff. Then slowly add on smaller packs when you notice any remaining unsightly textures. While many textures are amazing, putting a lot of high resolution retextures for small things can strain your graphics card. This way, you're only changing the stuff you actually notice, as well as getting a sense for how your installs are effecting your FPS.
