I have to buy a pc game for my addicted nephew. At present Ubisoft are advertising Prince of Persia - the Sands of Time all over the London Underground. It is said to be available, though I haven't had time to look. If it is, has anybody got it yet? And is it any good?

It got a good review in PCZone (the foremost PC games mag on the planet B) ), and the demo was good. How old is your nephew? If he's really into FPS games and the like, it may be a bit of a no-brainer (Read: The AI is pretty stupid) Actually, thats not fair. The control system is more to blame (get a PS2 adapter or prepare to burn), but apart from that its good.

More than anything, its FUN. You remember the old Prince of Persias? Frankly, i don't, i was about 2 at the time, but i played the emulated version and you get 2 messages from the games.

1. It is one of the most addictive games very coded.

2. It is also almost as frustrating as Daiketanta (bad sp, but frankly, the game doesnt deserve good sp.)

In this one, they've made it fun, addicting, but without the REALLY annoying feature of having to reload every time you miss a split-second jump.

So, in closing (jeez, this turned into quite a big post, eh?) its fun for a no-brainer. If he prefers something a little more challenging, get him Call of Duty (best game EVER made - until HL2 is released  :D )
