ArronDominion
Hello Everyone, Earlier this year I started a tutorial series for those wanting to learn about scripting mechanics. I stopped because I started getting busy with work, and now I am starting from where I left off, in the middle of the Array segment in the Events/Functions unit. This is the running playlist for the entire series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrN7sXqWQOBPyalkASaFwoVgNnAZOasExHere is the playlist for the complete unit on Variables: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrN7sXqWQOBNdVMivGkGl0vKuM8lRNsDqAnd here is the playlist for the Events/Functions: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLrN7sXqWQOBPVRNKPBBFl9aTjOtuL4uWK My goal is to do at least one week. Aragorn58
Thanks for sharing. Wrapping my head around all but the simplest scripts has always been my biggest hurdle. Going to start at the beginning and work my way through.
Surilindur
Hey! That is series I watched before doing anything with Papyrus, as I like to read as much theory as possible before touching anything practical. The Creation Kit wiki was nice, and I found a bunch of written tutorials on the Internet, but your video series was the one that helped me most. Well, I have not finished watching it, but it was a great help when moving from Oblivion scripting to Papyrus. Written tutorials are, of course, great, and then there are all sorts of command references and other documentation, but what your videos actually did was demonstrate the process of actually writing scripts. Not that it would be anything otherworldly, but coming to Papyrus the first time, I really had to see someone actually do some scripting and explain why it is done that way. That was exactly what I needed. I did not find the videos too boring, either, but then again, I watched them during the summer and did not need to worry about the time I could spend on it. Thank you! Edit: Also kudos, almost forgot about them. :P Edited December 17, 2015 by PhilippePetain
