Boulder City

Hello! I'm a complete 'noob' to these forums here and I just have a simple request.

I would love to see that door separating Boulder City and Boulder City ruins poof away! If anyone can make that happen I would appreciate greatly!

I'm creating a base using RTS and WLD in Boulder City and I'd like to expand my boundaries. My apologies if someone already asked this.

 

(However, If It can be easily removed via GECK, please let me know)

That part of Boulder City is in a world of it's own. It is definitely not as simple as removing the door and/or access barriers.

 

I know it's a lot of work, but if that part of the Fallout: New Vegas world really takes your fancy, it might be worthwhile developing your own "Boulder City Rebuild" mod - whereby the player, after completing the local quest supplied by Bethesda, goes on another quest for the local NCR folk that is unrelated to rebuilding Boulder City - maybe to rescue a potential companion NPC from a nearby nest of super-mutants. However, the point would be the discovery of a clean water source, which could be used as the beginning of a new quest to put in the infrastructure, and rebuild Boulder City. At this point, the door and certain barriers could be disabled to allow access for redevelopment. Please keep in mind that you may have to add something to the ruins as portrayed in the WastelandNV world's version of that part of Boulder City. With water and a half decent cleanup, you could even have a plausible civic beautification quest as one of the later developmental quests - and there would be plenty of room to stage the "defense of the realm" style of quest that are so appropriate to base-building mods.
