Background sound is bugging

Recommended Posts

Hello I hope someone can help me.

After I bought the game and installed it everything worked right. I forgot to get the dvd out op the computer before shutting it down. Someone else started the PC but didn't do anything wrong just closed the automatic launche menu and deleted the shortcut on the desktop.

When I tried to play again I got an error that he cannot find the driver or something like that. So I uninstalled it and installed it again. The game works but now the sound is bugging. The background sound sounds like when you place paper in a shreder. Cracking sound. It is very irritating. When you suposse to hear sounds like a burning flame in an Obliviongate, I got that crappy crisping sound. I tried an official patch the newest but it doesn't change the sound. I belief the soundcard is good because the first time the sound was good.

If anyone can help me I would be very gradefull.

Btw I am dutch so don't judge my grammatic plz ;)

Just a guess: do you have installed ACE Mega Codec pack? if yes then that is what is doing it, Find your sound card loaded codecs and delete spiro audio codec. google for help how to do that. Do you have surround sound?

Edit: Open control panel -> Sounds and audio devices -> Hardware -> (find audio codec) open that up, then find Spiro audio codec. delete that. if that fails just uninstall the ace codec pack.
