OOO affecting fps how?

Hi,

 

I tried a search but it didn't give me jack.

 

I just installed OOO a few days ago, and my framerate dropped pretty low. It used to be 30fps in the open, 20fps in the open while fighting someone. Now it's 20fps in the open and 15fps when fighting people (average numbers, of course). What part of OOO causes this and how do I go about disabling it? Thanks.

I have no idea, my full install of OOO RC2 has no impact on fps at all (except areas where a lot of enemies have been added and it comes to fighting hordes of them, like in some dungeon cells). You could try to install OOO light and then disable the optional parts of the mod.

I don't know what part does it. Maybe the scripts, maybe the new creatures/armors. But it won't be something you can turn off. LoRises made reduced textures for OOO, which can be found at the bottom here. I don't know if the main set is required.

I haven't gotten a huge hit from OOO, but I have from Fran's due to the spiders. It saddens me to have to use the No Spiders plugin, because I love spiders, but the frame kill was just too hard to deal with.

 

You're not also using Francesco's, by any chance?

I don't think I need to download anything to crap out the video quality, I'm currently running at 12xx by 10xx resolution with maxed everything, so I can always start turning stuff down, although understandably I'd rather not.

 

Someone on another forum recommended I set fish spawn to 0 in console, haven't tried that yet.

 

Btw, no I don't have Francesco's. Hopefully OOO's fishies have the same effect as Fran's spiders.
