ESP Naming Convention

This may be common knowledge already, but I wanted to share it on here anyway.

 

I made some edits using FO4Edit to the X-01 PA with no problems. Then, I decided to let my followers use PA and want to give them a different type so as to make it easier for repairs and inventory swaps. I use the T-60 for followers. I also modded their armor to be identical to mine (damage resistance values), but was not seeing it in the game. I checked the ESP several times and there was nothing amiss in the edit itself. What I found was the difference in what I named the file. My X-01 mod is named X01Edits.esp and the T-60 mod was named T-60Edits.esp. After changing the name to T60Edits.esp (removing the dash), the armor is correct in the game.

 

I was unaware that dashes in an ESP file would cause it not to work, but, like I said, maybe this is already common knowledge.
