SirTrijj
I assigned a Settler to run my Weapons Shop in Sanctuary but she went around back to the Garden. I had put the Shop up front of the House the others are working on. I can talk to her & purchase weapons but I really would like to have her up front where she's supposed to be. Any fix for this? Moraelin
Hmm, weird. My assigned settlers tend to at least stay near their assigned shop, during open hours. I noticed though that they tend to kinda give up if there's no EASY way to their working place. Like if the shops are too near each other, the pathing might get a brainfart. Sometimes also if the terrain is very uneven. Well, that or a broken navmesh (basically the game has some pre-calculated pathing info for the terrain), butt hat seems to be mostly a problem for me in Hangman's Alley, not in Sanctuary. Also I should add that some of the furniture you were NOT supposed to be able to build, but mods like SSEx or Homemaker add, basically can be too tempting for sandboxing characters. Like, NPCs are just mildly interested in the normal park bench, but if you place a bunch of Diamond City benches (you know, the brown ones), NPCs and companions start running around like morons to sit on one bench, then another bench, etc. Exactly what's the case in your case, I don't know, though. I'd start with some simple stuff. Like try putting the shop somewhere in the open on as flat ground as you can, wait until next day, and see what happens. If that fails, try assigning another settler, and see if that helped. And if all else fails, consider giving them distinctive clothing so you can find them anyway and buy/sell. Worked for me so far. Like, all my doctors wear lab coats and glasses, all bartenders wear black vest and fedora or bowler, etc. That way, meh, even if they're skipping work, they're still easy to find. SirTrijj
U know...I think u hit it right on the head...I put it too close to my Armor Shop....bet'cha that's it. TY
SirTrijj
Tried moving it across the street...that didn't work but then thought perhaps Trashcan Carla was in the way. So, moved it back across the street but way down from the Armor Shop. Still no good. I only have 2 Settlers there. 1 is doing the Armor Shop just fine. I feel like I need to "delete" that Settler. Can I even do that? Thought about re-assigning her to do something else...but she does have the sell/buy weapons options. That'd probably mess her AI up for sure then. And if I mover her away....probably not good either. Hmmm....what to do?
Moraelin
Well, you can always assign someone else to the stand, in which case the old vendor will unassign. Or you can just assign her to something else, like the crops or whatnot, in which case she stops being a vendor. Things are not all that set in stone once you assign them. They only have the vendor "packages" (read, actions they can do and stuff) as long as they're actually assigned as a vendor. You unassign them, they lose those packages.
