Ginji
I recently (2 Hours ago) tried to patch Oblivion to whatevernumberitisnow, but, as I had instaled the Beta patch, it told me to uninstall Oblivion, so I tried, but got this message: >SetupDDL.cpp (390)PAPP:OblivionPVENDER:Bethesda Softworks (http://www.bethsoft.com)PGUID:35CB6715-41F8-4F99-8881-6FC7BF054B0$11.0.0.28844@Windows XP Service Pack 2 (2600) IE 6.0.2900.2180 Then, in a desperate bid to remove Ob, I deleted the Oblivion folder, but that was probably stupid, because I can now no longer play/install Oblivion. :(
ninja_lord666
;D I'm sorry, but that's funny!Seriously though, you *should* be able to re-install it. In fact, one could re-install a game that has already been installed without uninstalling it. I know I've done it several times if I accidentally delete something that shouldn't have been deleted. Are you understanding this?
Ginji
Do you think I haven't tried? I get the standard post-install box (that says: Play, Data Files, Elderscrolls.com, Tech Support, Uninstall, Exit)when I put the disk in and I can't find 'reinstall' anywhere. ninja_lord666
Try uninstalling it then reinstalling it. That might work, emphasis on might. Also, it would say 'install' not 'reinstall' :P

Vagrant0
Try running setup from the oblivion DVD when exploring. Not uninstall from the launcher.
