Virtent
I need help with a piece of a mod. Does anyone have any ideas about Oblivion using system/real time. My goal is to have Oblivion sync with the system so that if I run the game at 10:00am then it will be morning, 7:00pm would be night, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Abramul
Making the time correspond 1:1 to realtime is simple enough, and has probably been done several times. However, I would recommend against attempting to do what you want to do, as some quests require you to be somewhere at a certain time, and services generally are only available at certain times. You wouldn't even be able to rest unless you quit the game and return later!
Povuholo
I don't know if it's possible, but if it is you'll still have a few problems: How will waiting and resting work? No time should pass then, which is weird. How about quests in which you have to wait several days? I bet it would break a lot of quests. It makes things like joining the Thieves Guild 'difficult' too. If it is possible at all, OBSE will have to be used.
Virtent
Thank you for responding so quickly. Your points are very valid. This was one of those ideas that sounded better in my head than it would have worked in practice. Thanks again. Virtent
