scrivener07
Your the one that asked for input and help. No ones trolling you. You just seem overly sensitive to any kind of critical feedback. Being critical is NOT trolling. Being critical is expressing or involving an analysis of the merits and faults of a work of literature, music, or art. If you dont like that he called your domain terrible well, your domain literally spells terrible in leet speak. So who in their right mind would pass the opportunity to make a slight joke about it. Ill just echo whats already been said. -The domain choice was not the best choice you could have made.-The matrix theme is misleading and out of place.-The visuals have early 2000s written all over it (dated).-The content is not be served quickly enough. (30sec animation before the site responds followed by a site gate) All these points are quick fixes at your stage of development. Design the visuals of your site around the content, not the other way around. Ill leave ya with two sayings."Content is king.""Cant take the heat, then get out of the street." th3t3rr1bl30n3
The domain choice is not final, as the very first post said, it is in the earliest stages of development and do not share the links. Why do you think I said these things? Do you understand how simple it is to redirect a url or change a domain name? You've convinced yourself that something is a problem so you have a position to argue, but the thing you believe is a problem is not a problem. Instead, it is a problem that you're both trying desperately to divert the thread with meaningless complaining and defending your meaningless complaining.I'm not sure how you've managed to make it this far into the worldwide web without becoming aware of the existence of "links", but thanks to considerable advancements in technology it's now possible to visit a website with the simple click of a mouse. Hopefully this will also help you avoid the unnecessary situation where you are orally communicating internet url's to other people when there is no technology around to use to access the internet. For the second time now, the url issue has been noted and your suggestions are appreciated. Finally, the issue of the url can be considered closed. Thank you both for drawing so much incredibly valuable attention to such a potentially huge, internet breaking problem. Now we are finally able to move on to less important issues such as content and delivery. Thank you. JaschMedia
I know I'm late to the party, but I'd still like to offer help with creating a website.I am currently working my way back into creating websites (i learned it back with html4....), so don't expect me to be a professional. (Current WIP: jasch.io/feinripp) Personally I love the idea of having a website dedicated to "How to create Mods for FO4". When I created my mod for FNV I found it sometimes difficult to find anything about how to do what I wanted to do. A few things I think the website would benifit from:- As light as possible. We don't need a lot of images. Only have images if they are required.- Responsive Design. It's always nice if you can use the site on your phone too.- Ask mod authors that are really good in specific things to write about them. I took a look at your source code. A few things:* Use html5. It is generally supported. Use tags like <header>, <nav>,... instead of <div id="nav">. You can access them in CSS3 with header {}, nav {}. You are already using canvas, why not use the rest of html5?* Try to avoid fixed width/height. It makes scaling harder. Responsive design would be the best choice.* Try unnecessary ellements like the top animation. It distracts from the purpose of the site. Generally ask you one question: What does the user want? It's not about what you want, but about what the users you want to have on the page want. A question I have: what do you need bootstrap and jQuery for?
