Rome total war vs. medevil 2 total war

In my opinion, the two main factions which REALLY suck are Carthage (blah!) and gaul (blah! blah! and BLAH!). i also hate the romans in the campaign beacause you will have these giant armies of Triarii and Hastati which all of a suuden become useless onvce you hit post Marius reform Any who disagee with my belief that the Greeks are the best faction can pm me and challeng me to an online battle. This goes for you too jakey boy.

 

The Greeks are strong, no doubt, but NOT the best. They lack common infantry (well, they do have peasants, but they hardly count :happy: ), and while phalanx formation is very powerful, it leaves them vulnearable on the flanks, literally begging cavalry to charge them on.

 

I do agree however that Carthage and the Gauls were overestimated (try completing their campaign on Very Hard.... Horror! :ph34r: ).

 

Well, for me, the Seleucid Empire will always be strongest faction, as they blend both powerful spearmen and infantry, as well as the mighty Cataphracts.

I know. This is why the greeks are only my second favorite faction. However your wrong about the greeks not having supporting infrantry. they have heavy skirmisers who are very handy in close quarters combat, My favorite faction is Numidia. with them I am unstopable not to mention that they have some of the best units in the game which no one else has (sorry selucid empire). With medevil 2 total war, my favorite faction are the Timurids but since they're not playable, I would go for the Turks.

The Spainards were BEATING the Portugese, and the Moors had been driven out alltogether. So I sent in the diplomats, to Portugese and The Moors, to see what I would get for helping out, The Portugese offered me most of thier gold and The Moors, they couldn't care less. So I helped the Portugese.

Spain, who were used to be close allies with the French (or, Cheese-Eating Surrender-Monkeys, as I call them) weren't expecting their allies to get beaten so quickly, so Zarzoga and Valencia quickly fell before the Spainards knew what had happend, then they quickly sent ALL of their armies against me, which had been my plan, allowing the Portugese to rebuld and rearm.

 

That's how far I am at the moment, but I think Spain is out of the picture, don't you?

Spain can be a nasty *censored* to deal with if you let them advance too far. That actually counts for every faction (especially the Mongols or Timurids! :ph34r: ).

 

One faction I truly hate is Denmark. I mean, why do Danskarna get all the glory? They should have added Sweden instead (ah, the patriot within me has awoken! Time to stop...)! :P Bah, atleast they have huscarls and Vikings, as well as those knight-thingies (forgot the name).

 

Anyone ever tried invading Russia? Pretty piontless if you ask me. All wasteland, no cities.

How do you avoid being excomunicated and attacked by inquisitors?

haha prepare for your silly greeks to be put down like dogs to roman steel!

just you wait until i download the patches and i jump online oyur greeks will feel the iron fist of rome! muhahaahahaha

 

 

tho i will say that parthia is pretty good, i guarentee that if you build an army of mostly persian cavalry plus some melee specialised cavalry, that you will win every battle.

Well, we all know know how that turned out :P lol. now tell me who is the top dog, tell me. Yeah thats right i proved to you that the greeks kick Roman Ass. Since Im not going to be on these forums much longer and am only staying around to mop up my topics, Anyone else who dare defy the power of the greeks or Numidians just email me and ill give you what you deserve :D lol. For that matter if you even defile the names of the Timurids, just email me and we wiil settle our debate. Farewell everyone tis was a good night of Roman slaying :D.
