Acid0
Hi thereI would like to know if there is something a non modder could do to convert the files created for Oblivion to Shivering isles or will Si pick up the mods on its own and render it to their specs? I see allot of files you can get that is Oblivion or Shivering Isles compatible is their really a difference and if yes how can we change it to reflect correctly on SI, or should we wait for the modders to make it compatible? I use Ren's beauty pack and Exnems body and a few other mods but now my complete body and face disappeared. Thanks in advance
TheTerminator2004
SI changes quite a few things that are also changed by other mods, so if you try using one of these mods, there are going to be conflicts. It also adds a few things. If you use a mod which relies on something added by SI, then it won't work in normal Oblivion, for example, a house in the shivering isles. If you use a mod that was made without using SI, but changes something that is also changed by SI, then it will conflict with it- this is probably whats causing the body to disappear. Quite a few mods will have been made without SI, but don't change any of the same things, so they should work fine. The best way to check if the mod you want to use is compatible with SI is to download the Oblivion Mod Manager, and run the conflict reporter.
