Drackk33
I've been trying to get a mystic elf companion with soya hair but it just doesn't seem to work. Firstly I use Rhianna as the companion, then after having Ren's Beauty pack and Soya's Hairpack installed I try to use TES construction set to alter Rhianna's mod to a mystic elf with Soya's hair. I set the Rhianna mod as the active file, and make sure to load Ren's, Soya's and Oblivion.esm before Rhianna's by making sure Rhianna's is at the bottom of the list. It all works fine in TES construction set and I save, but when I try to reload it in TES it gives me an error "cannot find race mystic elf" and "cannot find soya hair", and if I try it in game I just get a CTD. Anyone got any advice on how to fix this? Pretty much I need my companion mod to realize it has to get the hair and race I set from those 2 other mods, which it doesn't seem to be picking up on. You can't reference stuff from one .esp to another that is why. It is kinda tricky to get it to work, you can try and merge those 2 together myst and companion mod then alter your companions look in cs and save to the same merged .esp rename the mod to exact same name as your companion mod name is.... but you will still have some problems with paths to voices and maybe some other stuff that rens mod references.. anyway try it .. don't merge more than 2 mods :) take the checks off the ren mod and companion mod once your new merged mod is checked. To merge mods try OMM it has that option in tools i think. Maybe someone has quicker way to do it.. dono  Edit: or you could make rens .esp into a .esm file with the OMM :D then activate it when you are changing the companion mod.. , but you will still have to save over the companion .esp This is a better way i think ;)
