Ok, I've benn tossing around this idea for a semi-large mod called Dunes of Salahara. NOT a total conversion, I'm not that crazy, but just a new island with sevral small villigases there. I want to know how many team members to expect if I deside to begin this mod. Here is some basic info I sketched up in Study Hall.

Dunes of Salahara

 

Two races struggle for control over an unclaimed hot desert island to harvest the new found crystals there.

 

Argonians: Native to Salaraha, they need to use the crystalls to help cure a desiese exclusive to argonians.

 

Imperials: Sent by Empire to get crystalls any way they can, wiether that means buying them or killing for them.

 

The crystals have two special properties. One is that they enhance the holders magical talents, and two that it can be used to cure Setris (the argonian disease).

 

Event Map:

 

1) Argonian miners find new crystal

2) Empire sends Imperials to open a trade for these crystalls

3) Argonian chemists disover Setric curing capasity of these new crystals, and they turn down the Impereals' offer

4) Empire demands crystal trade rights or they threaten an attack

5) Argonians refuse and begin useing the crystals to cure setris sufferers

6) Empire begins invasion

7) Argonians begin armed and cordinated retaliation

8) DETERMIND BY PC ACTION

 

two outcomes possable:

- Imperials take over Salahara w/ help from PC

- Argonians succsevully defend Salahara w/ help from PC

I have mission plans for each stage of those 8, and for both sides too. I just won't post them becuse that'd take a while and wast your time.

 

Anyways, overall I think we'd need:

Scriptors

Landscapers

Biulders

Furnishers

and lastly Dialogers

 

I see no reseon for new meshes or textures, but it might help.

 

Just an island the size of I'm guessing 1/2 the size of Solsthiem, probly 8 small villiges.

 

If meshers and textures join I plan on having a few neat things acomplished:

- Children, though .5 sized adults should look all right

- Argonian head and feet armour

 

So would you join DOS if I deside to start it?

Great, all we need now is like 4 more people. At least. One has to be a scriptor or the whole project wouldn't work. Also one exterer decorater for the island. I tried making an island and it looked like a giant rainbow ice cream cone fell into the sea.

 

ANyways, I'm pretty sure if more people say yes then Dunes of Salahara will become a project in the making. Unless of course I randomly explode or my computer slits it's wrists and dies, in wich case it wont be one.

The more the merryer. If a rate of 1 person a day volunteer this project shouldn't take too long.

 

Here's more info on the mission map for the two races:

 

Argonian Missions

---------------

1. Gather samples of the crystals and bring them to the Impereals in another village. The impereals give PC a letter to deliver to mineing manager. Once letter is delivered miner leader asks PC to go so local alchemist for an urgent delivery mission

 

2. Take a scroll explaining alchematical formula for the crystals and how they can cure Septris to another village. When scroll is delivered the leader of this village, the leader tells PC to decline the impereals offer becouse argonians need the crystals

 

3. Go to impereals to decline their offer. Impereals give PC mission to take their demand for the crystals to the same leader the decline came from.

 

4. Take their demand and bring it to the argonian leader. Leader knows a battle will soon start and the impereals may take inititive and attack the villages. Leader tells PC to warn all the village leaders.

 

5. Warn all the village leader. Once PC comes back from that the leader tells PC that he is calling a meeting to set up a battle plan, the PC is to tell each leader of this meeting.

 

6. Tell each village leader of the meeting. When the PC gets back the leader tells PC to gaurd the meeting.

 

7. Gaurd the meeting. After an attack the metting is over and the leader tells the PC they are letting the PC lead a small group to the impereal base and that the PC is to attack that base and kill the impereal leader there.

 

8. Lead argonian troops to the imperial base.

 

9. Attack fort.

 

10. Kill the impereal leader.

The whole village leader system sounds confusing so I'll explain it here:

There are X amount of villages, each with it's own laws, and what not. But each village has one person that can represent them in all matters. The village with the mine in it is the largest village and is almost a city. That villages leader is accepted to be the one who calls meetings of all the village leaders and represents Salahara as a whole in all matters. Currently the leader of that city is the manager of the mine there.

 

It is the main leader the PC gets all his missions from.

 

I'll post the impereal missions later, right now I'm tired.

Ok wow, a scriptor! And even another people. Ok, that settles it.

 

I'll post the official recruting thread in 3 or so days. That gives you time to work on what ever it is your doing, and me tmie to get things a little orginized me self.

 

I've never led a mod team so I'm not sure how exacly we're supposed to submit work to each other. Any thoughts?
