SchattenDrake
Hey there. I've been dabbling with the creation kit for about a year now, I'm pretty comfortable with it's aspects along with understanding there are other modding tools. I am a modeler with access to Maya and ZBrush though I generally send all my models into Maya before I finish them. I just need some tips, tutorial videos or forum discussions pointed out to me to get started. Since I am basically new to the modeling aspect of modding I'm afraid I'm going to need a ton of explanation so I'd prefer longer explanations rather than shorter ones. Frankfranky
If you have Maya you can have 3ds max. There is a working .nif exporter for 3ds max 2015-2018 here on nexus. Turning your model into a .nif is the major roadblock. Doing it from Maya is a complete pain. Do it from max. I, like a lot of people I suspect, would much prefer to work in Maya, but life is too short, and there is nothing max can't do. Nightassays tutorials have all the info you need. (It has been ages since I watched them, this is how I learnt to do it. I think around vid 17 .. ish in the skyrim custom armour series .. he talks in detail about how to export your model) You can then apply this info to Fallout, or whatever beth game you want to mod.
