Help with putting armor on a Skeleton NPC

Hey :)

You should have a look at the link I provided in my post above and go to required files. The links should take you to the files you need. The newer version of Blender doesn't have the proper nif. scripts. If you follow the tutorial you should be ok, but make sure you install the files found by clicking on the links and install each piece of software.

I have downloaded all of the required versions:

PyFFI-2.1.5

Blender_nif_scripts-2.5.5

nifscope-1.0.22

Blender 2.49b

Python-2.6.5.msi

I have also done the nifskope and have deleted or changed the parts which the tutorial asked.

But when i try to import the male_body, the netimmerse/Gamebyro (.nif) option does not appear. I don't know what I have done wrong. I have so far redownloaded (following the instructions for the download) those exact versions 5 times each, and I still do not get the option.

Really need help.

Edit Note: I did find that I was able to get the model imported to Blender by exporting it from Nifscope as an .obj. Would this format work okay? Would I be able to take the obj. file and export it as a .nif after I am finished with it?

I had the same problem when I tried to install it... Took my a while until I remebered what I did to fix it. I installed Blender via this: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42755/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Foblivion%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D42755%26preview%3D&pUp=1

If it is still how it was when I used it, it will install everything so you don't need to worry about it. Give it a try. :)

Just to sum up the thread, for the armor addon of the armor you want the skeletons to display, add the SkeletonRace from the right menu. In previous replies there were reported issues of armor glitching when the skeletons died, and what vanilla skyrim implements for hooded skeletons on death is a script called "defaultOnDeathUnequipAll" which can be added to the skeleton npc.
