I was posting this on a local forum and thought I'd add it here to see if there is any interest.

This is a list of the mods I have installed today, it may be useful to anyone looking for mods that work well togeather or to see areas where they may want to add more.

----------------------------

Here are the mods I'm currently using, I've categorised them in my own structure, not the NMM categories.
As background, I've 95% completed the game and have gone back to do it again properly (harder).
If you're new to modding, I'm not advanced at all, most of my settings were done in the first few days, the mods have been added over the last month when populated on NMM (Nexus Mod Manager)
Visuals:
Fallout 4 Enhanced Colour Correction F4EEC - This is my preferred reshade. If you've not played with mods and only try one, try this.
Enhanced Blood Textures - Makes Blood look better
ETSGS - Makes Bobble-Heads and Mags glow
Visual Improvements:
FPS Dynamic Shadow Boost - Adjusts the shadow distance to maintain FPS - Very helpful for my laptop
FogOut - More for the extra FPS than improvement in visuals
FAR - Items at a distance look a little better, good with FogOut
True Storms - A must IMO. A rad storm feels epic, rain is more rainy, etc.
WET - Water Looks Better
Textures:
GraFix Texture Overhaul - All the original textures look better, just re-balanced, not retouched
Vivid Fallout - Slightly improved textures, more about better FPS
New Road Enhanced - Not a huge difference, but nice
Pinups of the Wasteland - A little more sexyness in the Wasteland
Rock On - Makes the rocks look much better IMO
Improved Map - Stock map is balls
Difficulty:
Arbitration - Lots of options, I use this to make the AI more realistic and adjust some of the general settings to tighten the loopholes of harder difficulty settings
Difficulty XP Scaling - Adjustable, I receive a 20% Bonus for playing on Very Hard (the intent was to make it harder with Arbitration and give a little scaling back with this)
Settings:
Fallout 4 Configuration Tool - A tool for allowing changes beyond the Options offered by Fallout (including FOV and other visual aspects)
Armorsmith Extended - Allows for more items on or under armor without being unrealistic
Concealed Armors - I like seeing my character in dialog rather than the low-res armors
Free Weapon Downgrades - Some of the downgrade costs were crazy for removing an item
Lowered Weapons - As title, weapons are not always pointed
Realistic Ragdoll - Prevents some of the crazy ragdoll physics that occasionally made corpses fly
General / Personal Pref:
Day Night Cycle (Longer Days) - With a good re-shade, the nights are too dark to wander without a light. This makes the nights shorter
More where that came from - Added music from the period for DCR
Powerful .50 receiver (low range improvement, around 10%-15% more powerful) - My 0.50 is weak, should be stronger, this for me is more realistic
I have a bunch of specific re-textures for weapons, Vault 111 outfit, body's (no CBBE) and a character face or 2 which I'm not including as they're less mods and more 1-off's. I also have a few mods to disable some sounds.
--------------------
I am not experienced, have not made any of my own and am no expert. Props to those that make the mods I enjoy.
