banchouboo
Now, I don't really know much about Fallout modding or Bethesda game modding in general, so I'm not sure exactly how hard this'd be, but I'm sure it's possible. Basically, I want to replace the regular pipboy with the power armor pipboy instead, and to hide the pipboy from your wrist. Perhaps an additional option to have the other power armor HUD differences in your regular vision as well, but I personally wouldn't use that feature, just the pipboy replacement. Any takers? TakaraPRG
This is going to be one of those things you will just have to wait for the modding tools to come out for. In he mean time I do believe there is a mod that adds this effect to helmets and goggles. But you will still have your pip boy on but your hud will be powerarmor style. banchouboo
I've decided to start messing around with FO4Edit to see what I can do, I'll post any useful information here.
banchouboo
I've found a way to change the animation, but not the UI itself. I could remove the arm up animation but then the pipboy screen also wouldn't show because it was still using the one on my arm, and in power armor I could get my arm to come up but it still showed the original power armor UI. At least I know the animation is separate from what determines the UI (which is the invisible power armor perk).

stickbow
I second the request, sorta - I'd take a watch sized pipboy without the extra effort of creating the views and animation changes required to make the "wristwatch style" pipboy totally immersive.
