Better Gamepad Support

I have no idea if this can be done, however, if it can be done, I really think you should consider doing it.

 

I think that it would be great if Oblivion had better game pad support, much like the interface of the 360 and PS3. I love Oblivion modifications, and could never buy another copy on a console, but alas I am a controller junkie.

 

Oblivion does have some gamepad support, yes. However, it doesn't mean a thing when I have to put the gamepad down to use the mouse.

 

I've used profilers to map the right analog stick to the mouse, and it really works "okay" at best. It's really tough to get any sort of precision out of that though.

 

Sure, maybe I should try to get used to the Keyboard and Mouse, but I can't help it if I suck that way. :closedeyes:

I see that there may not be very much support for this mod from other users on this board, but while I know that nobody else might take this project up due to lack of other's interest, could someone knowledgeable in the subject say whether something like this would be difficult or simple... or possible for that matter?
