Hat of the Inquisitor scalpcap removal Mod Request

I'd love a mod that removes the leather scalp from the Hat of the Inquisitor/Superior Hat of the Inquisitor. I've only seen one that recolors the scalp item, but none that removes it if it's possible.

I'm just going to use it for my bald elf inquisitor so for me it doesn't matter that there's no hair under the hat, just anything but that ugly leather thing.

I have tried editing the mesh, but it doesn't work. So i think there as to be a hex edit on it remove it or its material to make it invisible.
