JuJooGuppy
Hey all,I am just trying to get started back into modding, and get myself caught up / better understanding of modding for Fallout 4 here. I realize the GECK isnt out, but I know there is a fair bit we can do w/ FO4EDIT already... my question is, are there any guides/ tutorials / videos people would recommend? For example, I see people adding custom paintings to the game using in game models + new textures, this seems like a good, easy place to start, and I actually want to add a custom sign for one of my settlements anyway.. are there any good tutorials for getting started? If not, perhaps someone would be kind enough to get me started in the right direction. I believe I grabbed most if not all the tools I need currently (Nifscope, fo4edit, I have photoshop w/ the latest .dds plugins that are here on the nexus [i believe I have the older nvidia ones, too, but I am not entirely sure what settings I should be using for FO4], I have 3ds Max & actually know how to use it to a degree).I also noted that there is a Papyrus scrip compiler thats been put together in advance of the GECK, and while I understand generally speaking what scripts are used for, I have NO clue how to create /edit them at this point... my first priority is the above, simpler task such as adding custom signs, re-textures, etc, but I also would eventually like to learn scripting, but I have ZERO experience with it / terminology there. So anything on that is also appreciated.Anything & everything is appreciated! I realize some stuff may have been posted in the past, but I wanted to be sure to get the most relevant info going forward.
JuJooGuppy
Well, hell. Now I feel the fool for bothering to post without thinking to search the nexus files themselves, heh. Regardless.. thank you for the sincere reply / help, even if it was short sighted on my part!Off to learn and such.
