My Ideas: eg. Naruto weaponry, equipment, and spells.

Why would we pay you? Tch. Some of them might, but I'd rather learn how to do it myself. And that, could take for ever. AND, I have a horribal level of patice and don't have a good ability to even DO this kind of stuff. Anyway....

 

1) Because I have the expensive software that you need to make the models.

 

2) Because I know how to use it, and can make any weapon you could imagine in a few hours (meaning model, textures, etc).

 

3) Because anime sucks, anime weapons suck even more, and the only way you're going to get any self-respecting artist to touch them is with large amounts of cash.

 

 

who cares, I have the expensive software needed, i can make any weapon you care to imagine using a variety of techniques at my disposal, as well as high quality textures and bump maps, just because you can do it for a price doesnt mean there are people out there who are willing to do it for the sheer satisfaction of "seeing" the smiling face of a satisfied "customer"

Peregrine, if you want to have that kind of discussion go do it somewhere else on the forums... Are your posts contributing to what the thread was made for in the first place? If you wan't to help, go ahead! If you don't, don't even bother spending your time here... Go do one of those kickass projects for which you have those marvelous abilities to : D

i'd love to see more anime based things in the game too.

 

 

 

you don't need any 'expensive software' to make models. there's plenty of free 3d modeling programs out there (i personally use Anim8or). if i knew how to mod oblivion, i'd make all kinds of anime style weapons and armors (i'm a big fan of anime), but i don't. nor do i feel like learning since i already have plenty of stuff to model/animate/texture for a different game.

1st, anime isn't 'japanese style cartoons' it IS japanese cartoons. 'anime' is the japanese term for cartoon. it is also the french term for cartoon. so in france and japan, every cartoon is called 'anime'. TV shows like Naruto, Bleach, Pokemon, Code Lyoko and many others that are shown in the US aren't 'american ****' as you put it, they are cartoons MADE in Japan and France and imported for showing in the US.

 

2nd, most japanese anime's are more adult themed when compared to US cartoons and tv. i don't know how many you've had the 'misfortune of seeing' but i'm guessing you've only seen them on US tv where they are heavily censored. by US standards and if uncensored, most would be considered rated R (like naruto and bleach) or even rated X (like sailor moon or bible black) since japan's tv isn't nearly as censored so tv shows can show nudity, sex, and can curse all they want. these are things which by US standards, are mostly for adults.

 

3rd, if your going to insult people who like anime, then your pretty much insulting ALL of japan and france since those countries call there cartoons anime and those countries are full of people who like there cartoons. so....are you prejudice against the japanese and french? if so, you would probably be better off banned from the whole site since i'm pretty sure being prejudice is against the terms of service.

 

4th, what makes you think there aren't any 10 year olds (or younger) that play oblivion?
