Fallout 4 for PC

I have a 128 key keyboard and a 12 button mouse but because this game was designed to be played with a controller PC gamers have been saddled with an absurd set of controls (bash+THROW GRENADE?!) and appalling limitations that, for instance, require me to look at my companion, target said companion with the reticule (not always easy when things get hectic), hit the interaction button, look at what I want my companion to interact with and then, finally, hit the interaction button again before they'll do what I want.... instead of simply using a hotkey (like mouse5) to give context sensitive commands. There's this huge, annoying process that could be bypassed entirely simply by binding the companion orders to another key.

So, I'm asking for either a mod or, maybe, god forbid, for the developers to simply remember that the one platform this series has been played on the longest and is likely to continue to be played on for as long as they keep making games for it... is the PC. I understand the need to make the game playable on consoles, but why limit PC users to the confines of a 12 button controller? (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHYYYYYY?!)

So, what I'm asking for, in the name of peace, prosperity, and occasional sanity, is to be able to rebind ALL of the controls. (Many of us use custom gaming keyboards, or non-qwerty keyboards and hard coded menu controls are... awkward. As a game developer that advertises itself as mod and PC friendly it seems like you'd actually want to BE mod and PC friendly:

- I really want to rebind my controls.

- I want a hotkey to control my companion.

- Aaaaand I would really like a UI that didn't feel like I was being bludgeoned in the head with a rotting fish.

Okay. I'm done. I hope at the very least that this episode of gamer meltdown was amusing.

Cheers.
