maym_001 Posted January 7, 2016 Share Posted January 7, 2016 (edited) One thing that seriously prevents me from using laser weapons in this game is the ridiculously bright and huge Death Star beam that comes out of laser weapons. I'd really like to see a much more subtle, preferably even invisible laser beam (IRL lasers powerful enough to do serious damage wouldn't be in the visible range), as well as much smaller, nearly-bullet-size and far less glowy plasma bolts (plasma thrower's probably alright). I really can't see any military adopting a weapon that reveals its users position at the first shot. Would be cool to keep the flash from the muzzle and on the target (not realistic, I know, but it would help to distinguish them from conventional weapons), but if that has to be chucked as well, that's ok. Am I wrong in saying that this would be relatively easy to replace the vanilla laser beam with a blank texture? Please and thankyou!
