robbaz
I got the cell id and position, Tried overriding other markers with fo4edit without success. Anyone else tried messing about with it? It was pretty easy with the skyrim creation kit.
zilav
All map markers are persistent references of MapMarker "Monsignor Plaza" [sTAT:00000010] located under persistent CELL of a worldspace. Find one of them (ot just use the one from screenshot, doesn't matter), copy as new record into a new plugin, set type, name, radius, coordinates. You will also need a linked reference to XMarkerHeading ref that defines where the player will end up when fast traveling. Again copy one of them as new record (you can just Ctrl+Click on XLKR\Ref entry to position of that record for quick navigation), set coordinates, and update XLKR\Ref in your new your map maprker to point to it. http://s22.postimg.org/4oopxjdrj/image.png Edited January 9, 2016 by zilav

rdunlap
have a question related. I have a custom Map Marker added to go to a standalone cell *(interior space type) it works fine if i use tmm to activate it. What process is used to "Discover" a location? rdunlap
I found this thread while researching Map Markers and ended up sending a PM to zilav for clarification. The following is the important bits of that conversation so that anyone looking to add a custom map marker to the world space will have the reference as well. Note that I had set my Marker Reference slightly away from CC settlement as well to make the icons separate and pretty. This was also part of the problem. The biggest part was instead of copying a Marker ref that would have had the data in place i created my own and thus didnt have a radius set for it and never got the discovery event.Robert I found your forum post from mid January about adding a map marker to Fallout 4 and have an additional question. I had succeeded in adding my map marker and it works fine. The problem i have is that the only way i can activate it and show it on the map is using tmm console command. Do you know which direction to point me for "Discovering" my custom location? It is an interior cell i have created and want to have the ability to Fast Travel to it.RobertzilavSent Today, 09:34 AMFaithful posterMembershttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/bullet_black.pnghttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/bullet_black.pnghttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/bullet_black.pnghttp://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/bullet_black.png1,647 postsYou can't place map markers in interiors because interior cells are not loaded by the game when the player is in exterior worldspace. Where exactly is you marker?Game uses radius on map marker reference for discovery, when the player walks in it is discovered. Check other vanilla markers. rdunlapSent Today, 09:44 AMFanPremium Member 331 postsI am adding a fallout shelter to Coastal Cottage. I wanted to do it like the RR headquarters. It is an interior cell and has a map marker. I wonder if i can tie my location to Coastal's discovery? The marker does work as long as i unlock it using tmm on the console. I created a custom Location to handle the new cell and that seems to work. I am just not getting a discovery on it. Thanks for responding, I do the "Rebuilt" series and want to give something a little extra with the next one. If you think of something i would appreciate it. You have helped me many times without knowing it. I find your posts everywhere and always good information. Keep up the good community support. It makes old farts like me enjoy the modding experience. So despite you ending up in interior cell, the marker itself is still in exterior worldspace. rdunlapSent Today, 10:05 AMFanPremium Member 331 postsYour information was what I needed  I set the radious property and suddenly it works. Thanks again.
