Primithras
Hi guys, I was hoping some of you might be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong here because I don't know what I can still try.I know Fallout 4 received a patch which botched up mods however as far as I am aware NMM should have been updated for this in the meanwhile. Brief descriptionRecently formated my computer although Fallout 4 was on a separate disk and was untouched.I redownloaded NMM and my previous mods as well as some new ones. Tried booting the game and it instantly crashed after loading a game so something was wrong. After doing some googling, I assumed this was due to the new F4 patch. I have followed numerous guides and forum posts in order to fix the problem but nothing works. Troubleshooting doneIf I understand correctly, mods should simply work after doing the following:Open Fallout4Prefs.ini and add the following: [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 Open Fallout4Custom.ini and add the following: [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal= Install NMM (currently using 0.61.5) Install and enable your mods Enable required .esp files and make sure they are in the correct loading orderPrior to doing this I also deleted all my .ini files and let F4 run again without mods which actually works without crashing.F4 then generates all the ini files again and I'm guessing they should be clean and good to go for above procedure. However even if I enable just 1 simple mod which doesn't even have an .esp file, for instance Lowered Weapons, the game crashes instantly after loading my savegame.I've tried numerous things like starting the launcher with NMM and then disabling/enabling all the mods again, made the plugins file readonly, running the game borderless, renaming the launcher, using the F4 ini tweaker, etc... Nothing works whatsoever, as soon as I change anything from the default vanilla game, my savegame crashes after it loads, any help is much appreciated... Primithras
Found the issue actually while browsing some topics here. Cleared out my whole data folder except for the default Fallout 4 files. After that the game is running smooth again with mods and no crashes.
