First time player mods

I have never played "The Witcher" and I was hoping for some recommendations on mods that would enhance the game without taking away from it. i.e: performance tweaks, graphic enhancements and things of that nature.

LOOKING FOR SOME TO DO A FEW MODS FOR WITCHER ENHANCED EDITION - COMPIO WOLF BUT LOOKS LIKE THE ONE FROM ZELDA TWILIGHT PRINCESS / BLACK RED WHITE RAVEN ARMOUR AND A FEW SWORDS TO REPLACE BOTH SILVER AND STEEL.

For every player who plays the Witcher 1 for the first time and as you put it, wants to enhance the game without taking away from it, I recommend these few mods, there are more of them, of course:

Project Mersey - The Witcher Fix Pack at The Witcher Nexus- an essential bug-fixing and content restoring mod that one should install.

AI Upscale Textures at The Witcher Nexus- for improved textures in the game. 

Complete Sword Overhaul at The Witcher Nexus- more visual variety for your weapons. 

Unique Eyes for all Witchers at The Witcher Nexus- so that all the witchers actually have witcher eyes, and each of them will have a specific eye colour, a great idea.
