Past Games Choices And Their Effect On DAI's World.

Hello guys. Having played DAO but not DA2, I assumed whatever choice I made in the first game would be of little consequence, if any, in DAI; so I started with the default world state.

Right now, I'm at the point of the game where you've just become Inquisitor --awesome moment btw-- and I realize I may have underestimated the depth of the game a little bit. I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps I was a bit too rash in my decision.

I would like to know, from those of you who have finished the game or played far enough, to what extent the choices made in the past games affect the world in DAI and, being at the point I am in the game, would you recommend me to start a new play-through just to import my DAO choices?

Thank you :)

Prior choices from DA:O and/or DA2 have minimal effect. They change certain encounters and opportunities, but they don't limit or redirect what happens in DA:I except to the extent that certain characters may be, well... dead. (Harrowmont, or Behlan? for example.) Was Hawke male or female? Who is ruling Ferelden? Is a certain Antivan Crow or recently discovered cousin around? In those sorts of cases, there's simply a different character or to reference to carry the dialogue.

And while there are some indications that your choices in DA:I (no spoilers!) could have greater impact on the next game, the smart money says BioWare will integrate them in the same way; acknowledged but not required, and not really very consequential.

I agree with Thandal. I have played this game trough about 15 times now... with very different world-states.. but none have made much difference.

A few cameo's... a different Ferelden king, who only appears a few seconds, doing exactly the same as any other king or queen... is all i know will change.

just stay in your game.. the world state doesn't matter at all..
