Dapoculos13
Hi, I'm looking for any good methods of improving my overall performance in Fallout 4 on a low-end machine. I'm willing to try almost anything, including mods, code changes, file editing, etc. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Do not bother telling me to upgrade my PC's hardware because I cannot afford it and do not know how. Also do not bother trying to tell me it won't work because Fallout 4 does work on my PC and I am looking for ways to improve on its performance. My current rig is: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4ghz OC'd to 3.0ghzNvidia GTX 460 1GB NOT OC'd4GB DDR2 RAM NOT OC'd1TB HDDASUS 24 inch LED 1080p monitor 1920x1080 resolutionWindows 7 Ultimate x64 GPU details: GPU Clock: 650mhzMemory Clock: 1700mhzShader Clock: 1300mhzMemory Type: GDDR5Shaders: 336 UnifiedBus Width: 256-bit @ 108.8 GB/sPCIe Interface: 2.0 @ 1.1x16Driver Version: GeForce 358.91 WHQLSpeed: 1170-1200 rpmROPs: 32 I also have the Nvidia Control Panel and Nvidia Inspector to make further changes and tweaks if necessary. Currently I am playing on fullscreen with all of my launcher settings at the lowest possible setting. I am primarily experiencing significant framerate drops upon moving the camera in certain directions, both third and first person. This is a complete vanilla install on Steam. In my first hour, I primarily maintained a framerate of roughly 60 at best and 20 at the very worst. My first hour primarily took place in Sanctuary Hills 2077, Vault 111, and Sanctuary Hills 2287. I also have Vsync disabled and FPS capped at 60 w/ Nvidia Inspector. I also edited the FOV and mouse movement to my liking, with additional code changes made to support mods. Nothing else has been done to my .ini files nor do I have any mods installed as of yet. I would appreciate any help you can give me in any way, shape, or form.
