Apply bump map to mesh and export it as high poly mesh?

Ok, first i must confess that i am a noob at modding and 3d stuff. So what i wanted to do is add more detail to some of the low poly meshes in the game.

I was thinking if it's possible to import a mesh in Blender, add the bump map as a displacement modifier and obtain a model with more detail and edit this model to add even more detail.

So is it possible?
