espeditow
My game does not open mods when I open my game on Steam, but when I open via NMM mods work, someone could help me make the mods work when I open by the STEAM :(

Threemoons
Thanks, gonna try that. Also just made sure that my mods unzipped (doh!!) and are in the correct folders...watch this space.
Threemoons
Le sigh, no luck. Can someone help me with the mysterious .txt file that I need to put somewhere? That's the only thing I have not done yet. Mind you, once I have this licked I'll be fine and will cheerfully help others down the line. Thanks. Aurielius
The mysterious txt file is placed in your Documents\games\The Witcher 3 (folder), it does create a load order but generally not necessary to get most mods to function. It really is used to sort out scripted mods load order.Creation Instructions: Create a txt file called Mod.settings and remove the txt extension. below is my settings file for an example, the first entry is manditory:[modBaseScripts]Enabled=1Priority=9999 (Lowest priority numbers load first.) [modBaseScripts]Enabled=1Priority=9999[modAltNPCGear]Enabled=1Priority=105[modRelicWeaponsRedone3slots]Enabled=1Priority=104[modCiriTrissYenEyes]Enabled=1Priority=103[modTW2CombatMovement]Enabled=1Priority=102[modPotions]Enabled=1Priority=101 [modElysGiddyUp]Enabled=1Priority=100[modAutoLoot]Enabled=1Priority=99[modMiniMapzoom]Enabled=1Priority=98[modFOVSlider]Enabled=1Priority=97[modNoItemLevels]Enabled=1Priority=96 Mild curiosity...is your W3 shortcut a direct link to W3 exe or one that steam installed? Just a mild experiment, try starting directly from your exe , if that works with your mods then create a manual shortcut to it and try that. ( Witcher 3 exe location: Steam\ steamapps\ common\ The Witcher 3\ bin\ x64)

If I want to create such a file, how do I know what to name my mods? Where will that info be found? Neither one of the two mods I am trying seems to have obvious naming on them. Also not sure where to unpack/put certain items in my Steam Witcher folders...simply copying to Mods not doing anything. Just copy the names of the mods from your Mods Folder in your main W3 folder for your mod.setttings file.It might help if I knew what you were trying to install and if NMM installed which version of NMM you are using, also what version of the game are you attempting to modify? Threemoons
Trying to install Gwent Cards Dealer and Hood Items. Gonna try putting Mods folder in the Witcher file in Docs, not Steam, and see what happens...gave up on NMM for the time being; broke my game too many times yesterday derping around. Will report back. Please keep the insights coming! :D Thank you! UPDATE: Still no dice. Tried putting mods here: C:\Users\ComputerName\Documents\The Witcher 3\Mods http://i.imgur.com/vuj5QTK.png and also here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\Mods http://i.imgur.com/6WxYmUG.png What else do I need to do? Neither working having them in either location....going nuts. Thank you so much again for any help!! NO IDEA why not working... Do I need to verify local files first? Help!
