I just cant figure it out... in the game it says that you fight by avoiding blows and reducing damage when you are hit.. but how can i see how well im protected? i know it's according to my unarmored skill, but when im wearing no armour (just clothes) it says that i have 17 in overall armor rating, which is very little!!.. how does this work::?? :huh: And second: if i train my skill in any of the other armor stylkes (light medium etc.) can i then wear like a single piece of armor (like a cuirass) and then nothing else but cloth? Can i only make unarmored work if i am not wearing ANY armor or what?? Hope i did'nt confuse anybody :blink: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Malchik Posted November 28, 2003 Share Posted November 28, 2003 I may have missed the point but your unarmoured skill will increase in any fight where you are not wearing a FULL suit of armour. The less you wear, the faster it will increase. If you wear a medium armour cuirass (only) mediun armour will increase slowly, unarmoured still rapidly. If you wear light boots and a heavy armour helm all four skills we increase - the armour skills slowly (as you are only wearing one item of each kind) and the unarmoured faster than the others as there you have no greaves, pauldrons or bracers/gauntlets. Kenned Posted November 28, 2003 Author Share Posted November 28, 2003 Well thank you but, no that was'nt what i wanted to know ^_^ ... i will try to describe it better: Why do i have an armor rating of 17 when i have an unarmored skill of 57 and wearing exquisite and expensive cloth? And does my unarmored skill STILL have influence if i am wearing one other armor (ligth, medium whatever..) thing, OR can i only use unarmored style if i wear nothing but cloth? I know that the skill increase according to what you are wearing, but what about your armor rating? When wearing both light medium and heavy armor, the different armor ratings are added up and the average is displayed at the bottom. Charon Posted November 28, 2003 Share Posted November 28, 2003 Yes, your unarmored skill plays role when some part of your body is not covered by any armor. ;) E.g. if your light armor skill is low and unarmored is high enough, try wearing light armor and then remove some pieces - you will notice increase in armor rating. This is the case: when I remove my boots of blinding speed I have better armor rating than when I wear them, but the speed increase is soooo nice :P I don't care about the armor rating loss in this case. Keep in mind that the biggest influence has a cuirass, all the other pieces are minor parts of the total armor rating. You may want to have heavy cuirass and nothing for arms and legs if you want low encumberance. ^_^ But better still is the light armor, it's not heavy and gives much better protection than unarmored. DragoonFurey Posted November 28, 2003 Share Posted November 28, 2003 Unarmored AR maxs out at 65 at a skill level of 100, and is the least effective of the 4 armor skills. if you equip another peice of armor your AR may go up or down depending on how skilled you are in that armor class. however the advantage of unarmored is that you're charecter will be less burdend and able to jump further and run farter as well as tireout slower. Unarmored is actualy a great skill for any ranged combat charecter. also ive noticed attacks miss me more with a Unarmored AR or 65 then they do with a Heavy Armor ar of 150. :huh: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kenned Posted November 28, 2003 Author Share Posted November 28, 2003 Okay... that is what i wanted.. so... the buttom line is that i can compare the armor rating i have when i am unarmored (17) and the AM i have when wearing fx medium armor (lets say 40) and conclude that the medium armor protects me better than unarmored... To the last entry: (cant remember tour name, are too drunk) i know that you evade more with unarmored... thjats the point.. you evade blows and reduce damage by moving and dodging..... But thanks i think i got it now....
