vycrondyz Posted January 18, 2016 Share Posted January 18, 2016 I have been trying to figure out how to replace some of the Vanilla Weapon meshes with FO:NV Weapon/Skyrim meshes. Only Melee weapons, so no animations invoved (as far as I know). I can do the FO4edit and .BGSM stuff, just can't sort out the Nifskope changes. I can't seem to grasp the change from NiTriShape/NiTriShapeData from previous games to BSTriShape, BSSubIndexTriShape and BSMeshLODTriShape. Invalidfate was kind enough to tell me "you can just copy the shape and use "paste-over" to overwrite corresponding nodes in nifskope, and then remember to restore node child/name information destroyed by the overwriting." Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to do this. I would really appreciate if anyone who has currently done a standalone weapon mod, with a new mesh, could explain how they did this.
