Tougher Synths 90% Damage Resistance works but if i change it to 50% it crashes my game

What i did was simple ... i looked how others modded Global Damage resistances and replicated the same for the Synths

I opened the Body group Folder and selected both synth and Synth gen 2 Body groups and made them override into.. it made a seperate esp that i edited

the default damage for all parts is:1.000000 i made it 0.100000 and named all body parts because it showed an error if i didnt

 

after savin and manually loading the esp into nexus mod manager it ran FINE and without problems

 

i made some playtesting and as it seemed bugfree i uploaded it to the nexus...

 

now i did EXACTLY THE SAME but i now edited

1.000000 to 0.500000 and it crashes ... im perplexed at this moment and i made several "clean saves" and deleted the older esps but it will keep crashing on my PC

As a sing of "quality" and good will im not OK to release something that crashes on my own PC. The version i posted runs FINE and i dont know whats the issue with any other setting is as i literally just adjust the value and make a new save it shouldnt make any of those problems to my knowledge

well thanks for the help after tinkering with it to death i found out that i (for some really awkward reason) can only make it work if i dont change the filename at all ... this way it wont crash and work fine ... i wonder if i can upload it to the nexus with the same filename ,,,

As suggested, you may have the old file name in the plugins list that is causing the crash. Or if I am not mistaken it could be that there is something in the mod itself that relates to its given mod name, so when changing it you break that referrence (or a different mods referrence). I could be wrong there.

As for the no help, some times people just don't have answers and chose not to post useless info, no need to take it personal or seem 'grumpy' about it, that tends to just get people to avoid ya in the future.


Glad you figured out what the actual problem was, hope you are able to sort it out. I wouldnt upload someone elses mod esp with the same name without getting permission though (Unless I am miss understanding and its your own mod, but sounds like it's someone elses? Sorry if I am wrong.)

thx for the help ... its my own mod 100% (i just watched others doing it in their files) there was no file copy involved but thanks a lot for the response ... im also terrible sorry for my wording ... english isnt my actual language and i often have to rely on others or improvise ... it sounded wrong i can assure you it wasnt meant that negative at all!

my plugins.txt file has always updated correctly.. i diabled the mod every time and deleted it and clear saved over and over (it isnt in my plugins.txt i multiplicated the issue today multiple times)... it seems that this filename is somehow still stuck for fallout 4 and it makes it crash if i make another filename that chnges the previous (deleted) mods value

 

im happy that it finally works althought im sorry for parts of my bad english ... hadnt used it for nearly 8 years and im mostly improvising i didnt intend to sound mean and im really sorry for that
