UxIxLxCxB
Well, hi.I have kind of strange problem with Oblivion.I had to reinstall it, because I had problems with my computer. Ok, I installed once again. Then, I installed all my favorite mods (I'll attach list of these mods below), downloaded patch ,,Oblivion_v1.2.416_English" and tried to install it, because I need it to run OBSE - and then I saw the error message about wrong launcher file.So I uninstalled it once again, manually deleted all other files - like mod files - and tried to install everything once again. Yes, I saw this error once again. It says this: ,,Old File not found. Homever, a file of the same name was found. No update since file contents do not match."So I tried to run Oblivion and mods WITHOUT OBSE - and nothing happened! I mean, screen was black, like game was about to run, but after one second I saw my desktop again.Sorry for all the grammar mistakes, I am not so great in English... I hope everything is clear. Here is mod list: (everything in latest version)- Beautiful People- Custom Race Fix- Whispered Warning- Better Dark Brotherhood Santuary- ANB Wearable Ears- Deadlier Difficult Dark Brotherhood- No psychic guards- DB Conspiracy- Westwind Rogue Armor- Anywhere Sittable- Capes and Cloaks (http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=1059)- Roleplaying Character (http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=1762)- Roleplaying Dialogues (http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2410_ Edited April 17, 2011 by UxIxLxCxB
bben46
If you have any mods that require OBSE, the game will not run without it. If you have any mods that require v1.2.416 the game will not run without it. If you install the wrong language patch - it will usually run, but with mixed language text and more frequent crashes. If you have SI you MUST use only the latest SI patch. Patches cannot be undone. If you have the wrong one you will have to reinstall.ONLY get patches from the official Bethesda site NOTE: The unofficial patches are not true patches, but just mods and can be undone. If you got your Oblivion from either D2D, Impact or many stolen versions (pirate), OBSE Will not work with them. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexushttp://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=240 It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.
