Ruadhan2300
this is something of a gamebreaker for me, I'm on my fourth playthrough and still haven't actually finished the main questline.it seems that no matter what I do, Hidden Valley particularly, and going to the radioactive crater where Moe the centaur is will corrupt my saves.usually I get as far as gathering the holodisks from the various dead brotherhood soldiers as part of the quest from Elder Mcnamara. then the game corrupts, and the next auto-save CTDs me. sometimes I can get a little further, but its always only a couple saves further before it CTDs again.Black mountain is a bit better, but occasionally entering that world-space area will likewise bug my saves... anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? drakeelvin
You could try this ... Steam -> Right Click New Vegas -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache // Defragment Cache Files I've had the above procedure reduce my CTD's significantly when I get a spat of them. It's also good to always use full saves (ESC -> Save) to reduce or avoid savegame corruption, and not use quicksave or autosave. One game I did this religiously and made it to level 30 without getting many crashes: it was tough to develop the habit of doing full saves often enough to not lose a ton of progress on the next CTD but I got the habit now and I always use full saves exclusively. It's wierd, I seem to get most of my crashes around Goodsprings but I've probably CTD'd in every area of the Mojave at one time or another. That might make a good poll, "Where do you CTD the most?" :D Edited April 19, 2011 by drakeelvin
