JuJooGuppy
Hello all, Just a question. I have seen many say to mod Fall4outcustom.ini with:[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal= And saying that if you don't, mods will not work. But... I haven't made this change, and every mod I have has worked fine, aside from known issues. I of course did the other 2 changes, the fallout4 ini and fallout4pref one. But I never touched the custom ini, and it only has 2 lines anyway. So my question is, is it actually important for something? Why would all of my mods work if this was needed? (I am running a fair bit, prolly around, 20ish bigger mods?). Is it simply an extra precaution?
DwellerBenthos
I think if the same changes or similar ones, are done in fallout4.ini then it will achieve the same goal. From what I remember, fallout4.ini can/will be changed when an update is applied, but fallout4custom.ini will not be changed. So it's better to have those changes in the custom file as you will not have to go back and make the changes again to fallout4.ini after an update. Something along those lines anyway.
